The practice then transitions into an active Yang-style sequence, designed to activate your energy, build strength, release tension, increase flexibility, and build stamina.

Following the invigorating Yang sequence, we shift into a soothing Yin-style practice with slow, long-held postures targeting deeper connective tissues. This portion of the class aims to calm the nervous system and release tension, fostering inner peace and harmony. Poses are held for several minutes to allow deeper stretching and mental relaxation.

To further support emotional release and well-being, we incorporate the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), tapping specific meridian points to alleviate anxiety, stress, and overwhelm, enhancing emotional balance.

Yang to Yin Balancing Yoga Class, you’ll experience the complementary energies of yang and yin through a well-rounded sequence of dynamic movements and restorative postures. The class will start with pranayama exercises to calm the mind and bring attention to the breath. Then, we’ll dive into a Yang-style practice, which is more active and dynamic, designed to activate your energy and build strength in the body. This part of the class will help you release tension, increase flexibility, and build stamina.

After the Yang sequence, we’ll transition into a Yin-style practice, which is slower and more passive, with long-held postures that target the deeper connective tissues of the body. Yin postures help calm the nervous system and release tension in the body, allowing you to find inner peace and harmony. These postures will be held for several minutes,  allowing your body to sink deeper into the stretch and for your mind to quiet and release stress and tension.

To support the release of stress and emotions, we’ll also integrate the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), which involves tapping on specific meridian points while focusing on particular emotions or issues. EFT can help alleviate anxiety, stress, and overwhelm and create a greater sense of emotional balance and well-being.

This class aims to balance the opposing energies of yin and yang with the support of the emotional release, helping you find a sense of harmony and stability in your practice and your life.
